Outreach Activity
Outreach Activity

Imperial College London Mathematics School aims to support young people from across the local area who enjoy maths and science. We do this through delivering a programme of activities in schools and on campus.

An exciting range of outreach activities for students from KS3 to KS4 is being developed and will launch in the autumn term of 2022. Outreach activities will take place in-school, after-school and during holidays and will include workshops, masterclasses, taster events (online and in person) and competitions. Please contact us if you have any suggestions or ideas about our outreach work.

We have partnered with MESME to deliver Maths Circles to students in local schools. Our first cohort will be continuing into the Year 8 programme in September 2023, and we will be recruiting Year 7 students in the Autumn term. If you are a student in Year 7 or a parent of a Year 7 student in a local school and are interested in being involved, you should contact your school.

Getting Ready for A Level
Getting Ready for A Level

We are currently running a course for Year 11 students after school on a Monday at Woodhouse College. The aim of the course is to equip students with the skills they need to be well prepared and thrive at A level maths and further maths, as well as help them prepare for the more challenging aspects of GCSE mathematics.
We hope that it is also contains some interesting and fun mathematics! Students are nominated through their schools, but if you are at an 11-16 school close to ICLMS and Woodhouse College and you are interested in being involved, please email outreach@iclms.ac.uk

In the summer term 2023 we will be starting a course for Year 10 students after school on a Tuesday at Woodhouse College. The classes will cover topics in AQA level 2 Further Maths and will also extend students' understanding of GCSE mathematics and mathematical problem solving. By taking part in Maths Extra, we hope that students will be set up for success in their GCSEs, and also gain the skills necessary to make a flying start to A Level Maths and/or Further Maths.

Our initial application period has closed. If you are interested in joining these classes or want to find out more, please email outreach@iclms.ac.uk.
